So I just got these dropped off by UPS today.
Just for shits and giggles, I stood one up next to one of my front tires...
And just for even shittier giggles, I stood one next to the P71.
Big tires are big, you guys.

I love the smell of new tires.

Put them on the mustang.
I was thinking about getting general grabbers on my s10 and/or the jag during the winter

Funny, I just put a set on the Land Rover. They are much better than the bald dry rotted 30 year old tires.

Adios, speedometer accuracy. At least until recalibrated.

Regrettably, the Mustang was sold to buy the truck. I'm not super torn about it, I made $1000 for owning it 6 months and it basically paid for the truck all on its own.

Awesome! Let me know how how they are (especially on fuel and road noise). I have their predecessor, and they are amazing off-road. They seem to pick up every nail and screw on the road though, so keep a patch-kit handy.

Literally my favorite smell in the world. New tire smell is the only redeeming thing about sitting around Town Fair Tire when you're buying there.

In for updates on these. These are one of the options I was considering for my truck.
I think I’m going the Hankook route, but more info on the options is never a bad thing...

The Super Duty pickups can actually be recalibrated with a flash tuner, which I have. I'll have to do that later...they're two inches taller than stock, so that's fun.

Are those the stock tires on the truck? There so...puny.

I have Grabber AT/2s on my truck, theyre actually studdable (mine arent studded). Im never buying anything else, I love them. I actually plan on getting a cheap set of explorer wheels at some point and getting another set of AT/2s and studding them for winter.

No, somebody put some junk 225/70/16s on the front...they’re way too small and not load rated for the truck. They would be better suited for a Toyota Highlander. The rears on it are 235/85/16, which is the correct size, but they’re junk too.

I’ll give an update as soon as I get home with them, at least for ride/handling/noise. They certainly look fantastic though.

Do they fit without lift?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 14:43 |

Will do. I might not be able to tell you a ton about noise, since my truck is a diesel and a little bit loud, haha. Allegedly they're pretty quiet for an AT.

I’ve got the all-terrain KO2 on my Sierra 1500 Crew Cab. 275/55/20 is the stock size. They are massive :) You can fit a 275/65/20 with a 2-inch level kit, not that I’ve looked. They are already a 32" tire, the 275/65/20 would be a 34".
Sometimes I feel like redneck.

Yeah, I went as large as I could without rubbing. I'm told a 305/75/16 would rub without a lift, and I have zero interest in lifting the truck...say no to bro dozers.

Ko2 are my next tire..
letters in/out?

Put them on the crown vic! That would be LOUD going down the highway.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 14:47 |
|
That's a huge damn tire. 285/75/16 is as big as I could go on the stock wheel/stock height and not rub, so that's what I went with. How have the tires been?
![]() 03/31/2016 at 14:48 |

Haha I thought his truck was a Ranger just because of the tire size. I had to go back to look after your comment to realize it was a 250. Yeah those tires are hella small!

The Crown Vic doesn’t need any help being loud, hahaha. It already sounds like I'm driving through a tunnel even when I'm not.

Absolutely love ‘em. They look great and handled everything I’ve thrown at them so far including 18" of snow overnight.
They are definitely heavier than the stock tires I replaced so I saw my mpg fall off a little and they are louder at highway speeds, but pretty good and quiet around the city and town still.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 15:05 |

No such thing as "can't get louder". Until you have some jet turbines strapped to the side, it aint loud enough!

BFG is the best off road tire you can buy. The quality is just so much better.

I made a mistake... Rugged Terrain T/A were the ones I was looking at, not All Terrain.

We have KM2's on the FJ40 and love ‘em. When the Tundra finally lets us get away from the Bridgestone’s probably some BFGs or Michelins coming for it.

That's a fact. My neighbors don't care for me though, haha.

So far they seem the cheapest one I can get as well.
Of course, I already know exactly how I’m going to do this... I’m going to go back and forth to the last minute and then make a snap decision. I’m stupid like that.
Either way, though, I’m sure it’ll be fine. They’re rated about the same. If you’ve got a spare minute and would be interested in seeing something pathetic:
- Go to tirerack.com
- Go to Shop by vehicle
- Enter Chevrolet, 2010, Colorado Crew Cab LT V8, 4x4 Z85
- Shop for tires
- Select the OEM tire size
- Select the Rugged Terrain T/A’s and the Wrangler ST’s marked as OEM
- Compare side by side
- Scroll to the consumer survey
- Scroll back to price
- Scrape jaw from floor
Seriously GM? What’s up with this shit? You could have saved a noticeable amount of money per vehicle that could have been put back into the interior design . You’d have had a vehicle at the same price point that rode nicer, handles better AND had a nicer interior!!

Those would look super good on my F250. What size are they? My stock ones were 265/75/16.
![]() 03/31/2016 at 16:23 |

These are 285/75/16s. Here’s how it wound up looking all done:

You should try one with no rockers and a driver’s door that doesn’t quite seal right!

Looks good! I love the look of those bfg t/a ko’s. Mine are way past their time, but soon!
Would look better on my truck since I would not have to pay for a new set.
